Update on new trash and recycling toters

  • The new garbage and recycling toters have started to be delivered to homes and will continue until early next week. Please be patient, if your toters have not been delivered by Wednesday March 7th, contact Andrea at office@glpct.org who will work with the trash company to correct the issue.  (note: if you requested a delayed delivery, they will be dropped off the week you requested)
  • Once you get your toter, please begin to use them.  Beginning  April 2nd trash and recycling will only be picked up if it is placed in the new toters.
  • To use the toters, bring them to the curb just as you did with your old containers.  The front of the toter should be within 2 feet of the curb and there should be at least 2 feet between toters. If pickup is blocked by parked cars, plowed snow or other blockages your toters they will not be picked up. You will have to wait until the following scheduled pickup date.
  • Old garbage cans can be placed out at the curb on trash pick up days starting this Monday March 5th, please make sure to mark them with a large X to let the trash company know to take them away.  After March 26th, if you need to have garbage cans picked up please hold on to them until the bulky waste pick up days starting in May (exact dates will be posted soon).
